		Welcome to The Meeting Place!
		We hope will be more than just a store. The Meeting Place is a place that we have developed after many years of preparation, effort and patience. While it is a tangible store located in New Carlisle, OH, just north and east of Dayton, it is hopefully going to be so much more for us and for you.
		This is the ministry of our family, a place for all to come and be welcomed, to know our hospitality, to gather together and have open conversation (life) in worshipping our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, YHVH, the great I am. If you want to buy something that is great, helps pay the bills, but our main focus is in sharing the wonderful Word with others and growing on our path of faith.
		We came out of the mainstream church about 13 years ago and in coming out we have a found a wealth of relevancy, tons of knowledge and ultimately…truth. Now before you make an assumption, we discovered that our lack of growth in the church was not the fault of the congregation, it wasn’t that we weren’t being fed (bad term but commonly used) instead it was that we weren’t eating right. What we found was that the reason for our lack of growth was all our own. We were lazy and content in our lack of understanding and effort. The issue was, at its base, our lack of spiritual vision, no depth in our spiritual acuity and a serious lack of the ability to hear the Word of God.
		You see we were guilty of reading, not studying and what we did study wasn’t the Word but rather it was what others had “found”. We were busy reinforcing the dogma, the traditions of men instead of studying to show ourselves as approved workmen, having the ability to rightly divide the Word of truth.
		So now that we have come out of conventional church, finding ourselves responsible for far more than we ever considered before, we have made it our effort, our ministry to reach out to others that may also be looking, yet not finding. Knocking yet not opening. We won’t hit you with our version of how things are or should be. We won’t criticize others for where they are at spiritually but we will openly and gladly share with those who desire to see and understand more what we have found on our journey.
		We won’t debate or argue but we will work out our understanding. We don’t have all of the answers or even most or many but what we have found has been such a blessing to us and has fostered great growth. So if you are in the neighborhood please come in and sit for a while; have something to drink and midrash (discuss) the Word with us and others. If you can’t be here physically, then may this website be a blessing to you.
